Running in of newly purchased diesel engines refers to the process of slowly increasing the speed, gradually increasing the load, and gradually smoothing the mating surfaces of parts under good lubrication conditions and careful inspection under the control of human beings. 1、 Preparation before running in. Remove the dust and sundries on the external parts of the diesel engine. Carefully check the integrity of all parts and the fastening of external bolts. In case of missing or loosening, they should be complete and tightened. Add diesel oil, engine oil and water (water-cooled) as required. Depressurize the diesel engine, rotate the crankshaft, and check whether all moving parts operate flexibly and make abnormal noises. 2、 No load (idling) running in of diesel engine. The running in time of idling is generally about 1 hour. In the first 0.5 hours, the machine runs from low speed to medium speed (600-800 r/min), and in the last 0.5 hours, it gradually increases from medium speed to rated speed. During running in, observe whether the exhaust smoke color, temperature and lubrication of the diesel engine are normal. 3、 Load run in. The load running in time is generally 40 hours. First, run it for 3 to 4 hours with 1/4 load, then run it for 15 to 16 hours with 1/2 load, and finally run it with 3/4 load for the remaining time. Fourth, check and clean after running in. Drain the oil in the crankcase, clean the crankcase and oil filter, and add oil to the specified level. Check whether the contact ring belt between the valve and the valve seat is burnt or worn, and check the valve clearance. Tighten the connecting rod and cylinder head bolts to the specified torque and conduct a comprehensive inspection. It must be noted that once the diesel engine is run in, the lubricating oil contains a large number of metal chips generated when the running parts rub against each other. If the cleaning work is not done well and new engine oil is added, the early wear of the diesel engine will also be caused. 2. Maintenance measures.
1. Engine oil
Usually, the oil consumption is not serious enough to pass the interval between two maintenance. However, in summer, due to the hot weather, the oil consumption is higher than usual. If impurities or gasoline smell are found in the engine oil and the smoke is light blue in the daily inspection, it means that the engine has a problem and the parts may be worn abnormally, so hurry to the factory for maintenance.
2. Transmission oil
When you change the engine oil, you can check your transmission oil by the way. Because the inspection process is complicated, you can ask the dealer's service department to deal with it. In order to measure accurately, the vehicle must be put into neutral P, run at idle speed, park the vehicle in a flat place, and the oil must be operated to an operating temperature of 80 ℃~93 ℃.
3. Too much or too little oil may damage the transmission. Too much oil may cause excessive running resistance of the parts, or cause the transmission oil to bubble and deteriorate, resulting in abnormal wear of the parts. Therefore, when you check the transmission oil, be sure to measure it accurately.
4. Power direction oil
When the engine cools down, wipe the oil filler cap and the top of the oil reservoir clean, then screw out the directional oil cap, and wipe the dipstick clean with a lint free clean paper towel, then install the lock, and then open and pull out to check the oil level of the dipstick.
The correct power steering oil must be used when filling or changing the oil. If it is not used properly, the steering gear will be damaged.
5. Brake oil
Just open the hood and check the liquid level of the brake oil pot, as long as it is not lower than the lower limit.
